What you can join online
The Banyan Tree Learning Center (TBTLC) has taught CBSE and ICSE students since 2009. Everything we offer is available online, for Grades 8 to 12:
- Foundation Plus (Grades 8 and 9): builds scientific thinking, logic and curiosity before the board years.
- Board Mastery (Grades 9 and 10): the year-long board programme, in separate CBSE and ICSE batches.
- High Performance Accelerator (Grade 10): for students aiming for 85–95% and above.
- ICSE Achievers (Grades 9 and 10): for ICSE students.
- Board Exam Crash Course (Class 10) and Class 9 Final Exam Crash Course: December to February.
- One-on-One Classes: one student, one expert teacher, any subject and topic, booked by the hour.
- Custom Test Series: tests on the chapters you choose, corrected with solutions in 7–10 working days.
How online classes work
Our batches are hybrid: each class runs at our Kharghar centre and online at the same time. Students near Kharghar can come in person, and students anywhere else join the same class live.
- Live classes, not recordings, so your child can ask questions as they come up.
- Small batches of up to 12, with separate batches for CBSE and ICSE.
- The same teachers, timetable, tests and corrected papers as students at the centre.
- Regular updates for parents on WhatsApp.
- All you need is a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection.

Who teaches
Classes are taught by our founders and senior faculty: Jay Kothari (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), Urmi Kothari (Biology and Social Studies) and Suparna Dey (English). Read more about us.
Timings and time zones
All timings are in Indian Standard Time (IST). Classes run between 12:00 pm and 8:30 pm IST, Monday to Saturday. For families in the Gulf that is 10:30 am to 7:00 pm (UAE time). Tell us your city when you enquire, and we will suggest the batches or one-on-one slots that suit your time zone.
Fees and payment
- Fees are in Indian rupees and are the same online and at the centre, except for One-on-One Classes: from ₹1,199 an hour online for Grades 8–10. See One-on-One Classes.
- Custom Test Series fees are listed on the Custom Test Series page.
- Programme fees are shared when you enquire.
- Families in India pay by UPI. Families outside India pay by international bank transfer, including through Wise.

Frequently asked questions
Can my child join TBTLC online from outside Kharghar or outside India?
Yes. Every programme, our One-on-One Classes and the Custom Test Series are available online, so students can join from anywhere in India or abroad, including the Gulf, Singapore, the UK and the US.
Are the online classes live or recorded?
They are live. Online students join the same small batch, of up to 12, as students at our Kharghar centre, with the same teachers and the same timetable, so they can ask questions in class.
What does hybrid mean at TBTLC?
Hybrid means each batch runs at our Kharghar centre and online at the same time. Local students can attend in person, and students anywhere else join live online.
Which boards and grades do you teach online?
CBSE and ICSE, for Grades 8 to 12, in separate CBSE and ICSE batches. One-on-One Classes cover Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Studies and English.
