ICSE needs its own kind of teaching
ICSE goes deeper than CBSE in many subjects and expects longer, well-structured written answers. Class 10 Mathematics includes commercial maths such as GST, banking and shares and dividends; Physics, Chemistry and Biology are separate papers; and English Language and Literature are examined separately. A student taught in a mixed CBSE–ICSE batch rarely gets the practice ICSE demands.

ICSE programmes
- ICSE Achievers (Classes 9 and 10): a dedicated ICSE track with depth-oriented teaching for ICSE-style questions, daily ICSE practice, numerical and writing work and monthly pattern-based tests.
- Board Mastery (Classes 9 and 10): dedicated hours for Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and English, with weekly reviews and revision cycles.
- Foundation Plus (Classes 8 and 9): science foundation modules and olympiad preparation before the board years.
- Crash course (December–February): board-pattern revision before the ICSE exams.

Writing practice, the ICSE difference
Many ICSE students know the answer but lose marks when they write it. We correct written work regularly: complete working in Mathematics and Physics, precise terms in Biology, Chemistry and Geography, structured answers in History and Civics, and textual evidence in Literature.
Who teaches
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are taught by co-founder Jay Kothari; History, Civics, Geography and Biology by co-founder Urmi Kothari; and English Language and Literature by our senior English faculty, Suparna Dey, at TBTLC since 2012. Meet the team.

Our ICSE batches are open to students from any ICSE school in and around Kharghar, including Convent of Jesus and Mary, Ryan International School, Sanjivani International School, Saviors Global School, VIBGYOR High and Vishwajyot High School.

Where we are
The Banyan Tree Learning Center is at Shop Nos. 18 & 19, Krishna Residency, Plot No. 13, Sector 20, near Shilp Chowk, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai 410210. Students come to us from sectors across Kharghar. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and closed on Sundays. Get directions.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer a separate ICSE batch?
Yes. ICSE students always study in their own batches, and Classes 9 and 10 can join our dedicated ICSE Achievers track.
Do you teach ICSE English Literature?
Yes. English Language and Literature are taught by our senior English faculty, Suparna Dey, who specialises in CBSE and ICSE English.
Do you help with ICSE History, Civics and Geography?
Yes. Social Studies for ICSE, including History and Civics and Geography, is taught by co-founder Urmi Kothari.
What are the fees for ICSE tuition?
Fees depend on the programme and subjects. We share them when you enquire, and they are paid at the centre.
